What we collect
When you use RoomRoast, we collect:
- Room photos you upload — stored encrypted in our database, only accessible to you via signed URLs.
- Scan results — the score, roast, and fix plan the AI generates for each photo.
- An anonymous user ID — created automatically the first time you open the app, no email required.
- Subscription status — managed by Apple and RevenueCat; we never see your payment details.
- Crash reports and basic usage analytics — anonymized and used only to fix bugs and improve the product.
What we share
Your room photo is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API to be scored. OpenAI does not retain or train on data sent through their API (per their API data usage policy).
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. The only third parties involved are Apple (payments), OpenAI (scoring), and Supabase (database and storage), each only seeing the slice of data they need to do their job.

Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated scans from Settings → Delete account inside the app. This is immediate and irreversible. Alternatively, email hi@roomroast.app and we'll delete it for you.
Children
RoomRoast is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
